The author is trying to defend himself by saying he just thinks the firing process should have been different, and she'd probably have been fired even with more stringent employee protections. But one of his posts about wanting to give compassion and forgiveness to her gives away his real motivation

You seem to be arguing for two very distinct things. The first about how she was fired, and the second about her being given compassion. I do not see how these two points correlate at all. Nor do I see what right you have to tell black people (or anyone) to give compassion to a virulent racist

The Charlie Kirk firings "just happened" at one point too. I find it very illuminating you had nothing to say, and no article in the Atlantic, at the time. And no, shoehorning it into a larger article about this situation does not count
December 12, 2025 at 4:55 PM
Just curious, did you write any articles about the people summarily fired over Charlie Kirk posts? If not, why not? Why were you silent then, but felt the burning need to write about this case?

Something tells me the consumption of cigarettes, alcohol, and paint may have contributed to her untimely demise, and it isn't a mystery at all

You think reporters representing the US populace in asking questions of our leaders deserve the same anonymity as random internet posters? Surely even you aren't convinced by that terrible argument?

You could have easily left it at "I don't know."

I think they just want heavy gender segregation again. Though of course only for poor and middle class women. They need to stay at home and be around mostly women, besides their husbands who they dutifully obey. The rich conservative women will continue to work outside the home around men ofc

Could you imagine how Nuzzi would be treated if she weren't white? Her career is simply dead if she were a black woman. There'd be no book, no Vanity Fair trying to salvage her career. It would simply be accepted she was untrustworthy and amoral.

The only real question is how these same conservative Justices contort themselves to claw some of this power back the second a Democratic President is back in the WH

It will never not be ironic how much of the Christian Right has fully embraced social darwinist "survival of the fittest" BS.

I remain deeply pessimistic about how we as a country move on from this. What do you do when a significant amount of your population revels in outright bigotry and corruption?
December 3, 2025 at 11:15 PM
I really don't think the administration committing war crimes so blatant that even Republican senators are concerned is the deflection they wanted.

I also love that you cannot even name a specific thing you they're wrong about. They're just wrong about something, you're unsure of what, and you trust Hillary knows more than you do. And you think you're the unbiased one.
December 2, 2025 at 11:13 PM
"I think she's right. I don't know why, and have no actual opinion of my own. But I love Hillary, and she *must* be right." Alrighty then, thank you for illuminating why you think her totally false claim is correct, and why you believe everyone criticizing her is just biased.

Do you agree with what she said here? Are the Jewish Americans protesting Israel ignorant? About what? You don't get to just change the topic from what she said.
December 2, 2025 at 10:49 PM
What specifically are the Jewish Americans protesting Israel wrong about?
December 2, 2025 at 10:48 PM
Your focus on the dignity of the US military right now is just gross, I'm sorry. Especially considering the US military has no dignity to begin with. You act like they just started committing atrocities under Trump.

To me, the worst part is the, you know, mass murder and deprivation of due process. But I guess viewing that as the worst part requires seeing these men as fully human, so YMMV I guess.

Mulligan talks about it a lot. He's already very good at telling stories with his friends who are also good at telling stories. They don't need a game system that facilitates that. They need a system that translates combat and other things into a usable system, which DnD works for.
December 2, 2025 at 7:52 PM
I don't agree with No.1, at least, I do not believe it is always correct. I think Critical Role and Dimension 20 are great examples of how it can work. If you already have a group of people who are good at and comfortable role playing, they provide the relationship and drama themselves. Brennan Lee

The creators of DnD were explicitly pro-gay! They wanted their system used to tell those stories. Truly embarrassing any "journalist" would accept the framing that DnD is inherently conservative or against representation.

All the people responding acting surprised are too much for me. Like they somehow missed Clinton's support for Israel? They missed her smug smile as Palestinians got dragged off for protesting? She has been firmly on the "Fuck Palestinians, support Israel" train the entire time.
