Oh yeah totally agree - and 3 min in a 3 hour show is easily fixable. It takes a LOT to save a show from 14 min S2 dog haha. Loved your observation…

It occurred to me today that the same sort of thing happened in Nov 73, with Mexicali Blues. Another (arguably) best month by a band who kept playing their worst song
A listing of the shows the Dead played Mexicali Blues in Nov 1973. They played it in 10/12 shows, or 83.33% of the shows. Mexicali Blues is the worse Dead song both musically (a weird upbeat polka cowboy tune) and lyrically (gross pedo lyrics).

I will say, 3/4 of the shows I’ve seen this at were great in spite of getting Muled🤣
1997-12-28 11:42 Landover, MD Guitar and piano jam with "Roundabout" teases instead of traditional Mule Duel. Eventually the whole band joins in quiet but suspenseful jam that is quality music.
