I understand needing to make a slight profit, but $180-240 profit is ridiculous, and you should be ashamed. The fact you locked down what was FOSS is proof enough that you are a shameful company/individual. Shame on you.

... (of which I have been heavily into the prepper scene since the age of 9) MUST have a way of sharing the data with people who might not be able to access the device it is stored on directly. This project is based on Kiwix, which is FOSS. You have taken that, and locked it down.

In closing, I think a project like this IS useful, but not by a creator/project that locks you out of maintaining/updating the device/microSD Card. LORA/Meshnet is CRITICAL, especially for something like this project. Any person interested in prepping information for a SHTF scenario...

Perhaps when this was initially thought of, the creator had decent enough intentions, but decent intentions at the start don't translate to sincerity if the implementation is a steaming pile of 💩.

This "project" is nothing more than a cash grab from a person who saw a market of people who are generally (apologies to anyone else on the political left who has fallen for this "project" and is also a "prepper")...

This DEFEATS the purpose of the "project" (see below), and shows the sleaziness the creator/company relies on to swindle untechjucated individuals and groups.

This is a massive convenience fee, and one that I don't think the company is deserving of.
It is also locked down, making it impossible (or close enough to it for the non-technical person who just buys it without understanding what it really is) to update it...

it takes like 30 minutes to 2 hours to set it up yourself, saving you $180 (if you want EVERYTHING that comes with the pocket) to $240+ (if you just want to Pi 0 2 W with case+accessories, and a microSD Card).
