Azaleas - reference to the song "Caleb Trask". The Flowers (azaleas) bloom when he is finally ready to love. The flowers in the ribs are not yet blooming, and only begin to blossom after going through the black hole.

Ribs: "Ribs" Obviously lol. has to be one of my favorites and one of the first songs I heard. And TCW has many allegories and references to bones. So I felt if I wasn't going to go with an animal to represent them, bones would be the next best thing.
