Grew up in socialist Eastern Bloc.
Witnessed that "collectivism" only leads to ruin:
If it's "everyone's", it's not "yours" - meaning that you won't care for it.
And if it's "everyone's", then you may just as well take some of it for yourself - meaning it encourages theft & embezzlement.
