It probably isn't - I think thst requires too much awareness. It is mostly likely a weird routing thing.

*conspiracy hat on*. A couple of clear false positives from leading liberal posters would take the heat off the obvious MAGA ragefarms.

I'm going to add a little.

Swap backup drives with a trusted fellow artist that you keep meaning to meet up with but can't justify it.

Keep these drives offline, don't plug them in. Just bung them on a safe spot. This is your off-site disaster recovery.

Meet up semi regularly to update data.

Not even the Italian grilled cheese? The big circular one with tomato sauce?

Also, exercise in public (rather than play that just happens to be healthy) takes courage and self confidence. Stuff that is torn away from poor kids well before they finish tying up the wrong kind of trainers.

I've been dabbling with Linux since the 90s, with many false starts. I've only been a "natural" user for a decade or so- which is down to how much more user friendly it's become.

Unfortunately it did take me down a self hosting rabbit hole and I've gota tonne of RPis I should do stuff with.

Cancer recognition from AI was effective... Kinda. It basically recognised the ruler that was put alongside all tumours.

Makes me feel worse and a little better at the same time.

"There's someone who understands/in it together" is a relief. But fundamentally I don't want people going through the weapons grade shitstorm I'm going through.

Just in case the update b0rks everything -

I've revived an ancient laptop with Linux LIbuntu. It's slow and grumpy but works for libreoffice, obsodian and zotero (my research and web flow)

I'm pretty sure a Mac kernel version or similar would be possible now.

The official AI term for wholesale copyright theft is Digested @mrjamesob.bsky.social which I think is apt considering what is spat out by LLMs.

And, with all due love and respect from one of your first listeners... your works are fairly formulaic.

And as IT, I'm aware of how bad a keyboard or mouse is as a disease vector.

A good direction from Government would have allowed me to work remotely, support my loved ones. Or produced a solution that recognised essential workers and gave them protections both throughout the epidemic and after.
