I completely agree with you. Many current films dealing with similar themes are boring because they haven't learned from their predecessors. It's quite an art to know how to maintain constant fear without ressorting to an army of jump scares and a profusion of special effects !

I discovered it many years ago, when I was very young, and it shocked me ! But when I watch this film again today, I find it truly fascinating. I think it was the cold atmosphere that put me off at the time.

Je l'ai trouvé prévisible et ennuyeux, une sorte de copier-coller qui ressemble d'avantage à un film de commande, maladroitement interprété et qui s'essouffle vite, dépourvu de tension. Après c'est juste mon ressenti

Le film n'est pas mémorable mais retient d'avantage l'attention que le 3ème qui m'avait saoulé. Les deux premiers toutefois m'avaient fascinés et se suffisaient à eux mêmes
