Quebec’s school boards have reported a few losses of Muslim personnel due to Bill 21, but there are no reports of affected Jewish staff to date. Both the English and French systems fear the laws will boost already worrisome staff shortages.

The law also ends accommodation for religious holiday leave for both staff and students in public schools, as well as no dietary accommodations based on religion, i.e., supplying kosher or halal meat for students. 🧵
