There is no need for a do-over internationally monitored presidential election in Venezuela, as center-right opposition candidate @EdmundoGU won in 2024 in a landslide, as the U.S. and others recognized, which the Carter Center, etc. monitored. The Socialist dictatorship would cheat again.

The oppressive theocratic Islamic Republic of Iran, the worst state sponsor of terrorism in the world, is an ally of Russia, like Iranian ally Syria was before the tyrannical Assad regime was overthrown a year ago. As part of the Axis of Evil, Iran materially aids Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The United States and its allies should be validating the Iranian people in their struggle for liberty and representative government by encouraging them to rise up, and to offer the promise of peaceful relations with a free Iran, as has occurred with Syria.

While the Heritage Foundation is losing staff because it has veered away from conservative principles and toward Trumpist nativist populism, Mike Pence's principled conservative rival think tank Advancing American Freedom has been gaining ex-Heritage staffers.

There is a case for military intervention against the Socialist tyrant of Venezuela, who has created a refugee crisis, supported Colombian Marxist narco-terrorists, and is an ally of the Axis of Evil, but it was much stronger diplomatically versus the Baathist Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein.
The justification for overthrowing a brutal tyrant/serial aggressor/state sponsor of terrorism who was violating the cease-fire and UN resolutions was stronger than versus Venezuela, which Trump is failing to make a case for. We did find 1000s of WMDs, plus the banned chemicals to make more.

Not only are protective tariffs damaging because of price increases, but even without retaliatory tariffs by trading partners, they also weaken trading partners economically by reducing their exports, which, in turn, means partners can less afford to import our goods.

Trumpists, contrary to conservative fiscal policy, are cheering the increased revenue from Trump's tax increase on imports (tariffs), which means levying the tariffs failed Trump's protectionist purpose of discouraging people from buying American goods over imports.
