Also it is extremely funny that there is a moment in Wake Up Dead Man where @rianjohnson.bsky.social basically stops the movie, looks directly into the camera, and says “conservative YouTubers do not understand Star Wars.”

Famously, in tabloid journalism, three is a trend and I can now definitively declare that MAGA can’t cook. And these are the “foods” they are proud of and want to show off! No wonder they want to rid the country of immigrants and their dangerous seasonings.

A couple coworkers who I had worked with for over a year but never previously been close with and I started talking on Slack about Animal Crossing and ended up starting a shared doc to track turnip prices at our respective islands and visiting each other daily.

(I’m 100% fine, and the car is fine, just a big gnarly scratch across the back bumper)

“October 16”? Is that an error or are they just now releasing 6 week old data?

Most people's answer to "is the economy great" is the inverse of their answer to "do I feel broke." And their wealth isn't tied to the stock market, and a few million more people working doesn't matter much if the jobs they have are shit and the wages aren't keeping up with the cost of inflation.

Also, when people say that, what they mean is "the stock market was high and unemployment was low." Which, sure, those are two easy-to-see macroeconomic indicators, but that isn't how the vast majority of people actually experience "the economy."

When I was right out of college during the 09 recession I once house-sat for this rich lady for like a week and she had a little dog that had to be fed a treat dosed with Xanax 3x a day, and I was like, I’m sorry “being a pampered dog with literally zero problems” is giving you chronic anxiety?

The Wicked movies are the gay version of “I bet this shit hits so hard if you’re stupid”

I saw an IG reel after the first one came out of someone pointing out how great the filmmakers’ “attention to detail” was that the broom Dorothy is seen briefly carrying is the same one that Elphaba has at the end.
Like, that the movie did something special by *not* having a continuity error???
