It's a rough time to work for HHS, especially FDA. Do you keep doing the right thing, knowing it could mitigate the damage of the political appointees? Or you find yourself unable to look in the mirror when you have to call those appointees your boss? What if both is true? Where's the line drawn?

If it needs a repair, I'll be on crutches for four weeks, and should avoid sports major knee stuff for four months.

Maybe I could get a combat cane, and become a fully armed and operational buserstation?

I hope something works out for you, or you get lucky.

They told me my surgery would be a simple outpatient procedure. They'll go in and take a look. If it just needs a trimming, I can put my full weight on it immediately, and should avoid sports / major knee stuff for four weeks.

I'm just hoping that Steam and the various consoles don't insist on edits.

That was my history. Xray to MRI to Ultrasound and hopefully you'll avoid surgery like I'm trying to. Good luck.

Being on the wrong side of 50 with an active lifecycle, but I suspect I tore mine a little on a long, cramped work flight. Doc's hopeful PT can fix it, if not surgery. The cortisone shot helped a lot, but almost killed me. Bodies are dumb.

Not just that:

A) hand over information about the state’s welfare programs

B) get rid of immigration sanctuary policies

C) Turn over voter rolls “to confirm that Minnesota’s voter registration practices comply with federal law.”

When she gets what she deserves I hope it's televised.

Once an ICE thug kicks in the door of someone protected by Castle Doctrine, it's going to be the end of *something*, all right.

They'd let you watch, they would invite you,
but the chairs they use would NOT excite you.

I've given up arguing with the "You're not allowed to include anything in your fiction that I dislike and if you do it anyway you're endorsing it!" crowd. And as long as publishers cower to their threats of Tweetstorms, we're stuck with them. I stick to buying from authors who don't play that game.

That level of nuance was a casualty of the plague years. While I can understand why there were folk who wanted any 'hope spot' they could find, including in fiction, I think a few went too far and get upset that an author will include (thus endorse!) "bad things" in their "feel better" escapism.

Some people get to fuck the love of their life on the afterparty couch.

Some people have to settle for the couch.
