This discomfort is then politically weaponized, turning trans people into a scapegoat in cultural battles. However, in today’s world, strict gender roles are no longer necessary for survival, and adaptability is a greater advantage than rigidity.

From a psychological and Jungian perspective, trans identities challenge deeply rooted archetypes, like the Patriarchal Father and the idea of order vs. chaos, making them feel like a threat to social stability.

Over time, this ingrained a preference for stability, hierarchy, and clear categories, which still influences conservative thinking today.
