I saw this one a few years back and was mad they did Roger dirty like that. But yeah, that's pretty wild, gives even more weight to all the jokes the characters would make referencing Steven's importance or their fear of him.

If you had 8 million people reading a magazine with your art in it in the late 50s, early 60s, back when publication ads were a big deal, and depending on your level of notoriety, you're gonna be pocketing some heavy loot. At his peak, Norman Rockwell made $6K per piece in 1963 ($60K now).

It was fun hearing Patton Oswalt do a guest voice in ep5. Also, ep7 definitely has some "The Warriors" vibes to it! 😏

There's a pretty good setup in the ep 9 for the next installments and how the series better ties into the movie, wont spoil it but the record amount of heists in one night leads to crescendo that definitely brought back memories of the ending to Sly Cooper 3.

Fun series
Starts a lil wonky, but I'd say the animation improved since the specials. The new voice cast does great work together! As for guests, dug Keith Silverstein's barista & Kate Mulgrew's Serpentina performances.
Eps. 4, 8 and 9 were personal faves =)
