Ex-seasonal watcher who loves bad puns yeahhhh babyyyyyy
Pinned
Hello there, my name is KamiKaze.

Ex-seasonal watcher who returned to watching anime as of recently and a lover of bad puns.

Nice to meet ya 👌
A neat reminder that Slice of Life/Coming of Age is the peak of animation.

No, but seriously, wonderful little show. Funny, thought provoking, cute, enjoyable and at times sad but heartwarming.

Pair that with a super creative direction and you got one show I highly recommend.
20. Yuzuki-san Chi no Yon Kyoudai. (Directed by: Mitsuru Hongou, 2023)

The daily lives of four brothers together even after the passing of their parents.

After one mid and one bad movie, it's good to have a decent to good one.

Not necessarily the greatest but the relationship between Shin-chan and Shiriri was sweet and the climax wasn't half bad.

Sometimes was bored but not much else to complain about. Functional.
19. Crayon Shin-chan: Shuurai!! Uchuujin Shiriri (Directed by: Masakazu Hashimoto, 2017)

Shin Chan but aliens that can make adults babies and babies adults visit earth and they have to help an alien with Miyuki Sawashiro's voice to get them back to their father.

It was either very boring, homophobic, with 0 rhyme or aim when telling whatever it was this time and it was quite the slog to get through.

Really, the only good thing is the animation and some choreographies for some fights but not worth getting through this to get there.

Yeah, this was a movie.
18. Crayon Shin-chan: Buriburi Oukoku no Hihou (Directed by: Mitsuru Hongou, 1994)

Shin-chan but something something prince something something evil organization something something world conquest or something something shin chan

You know what the best part of KimiPuri is?

Is when you take it out and you watch Symphogear, the arguably cooler and even better KimiPuri

That joke depressed me a bit bc, I did enjoy it but unfortunately it is the case this was quite poor during the whole second half of the show.
17. Kimi to Idol Precure♪ (Directed by: Chiaki Kon, 2025)

Precure but they punchy punch and they idols.
January 27, 2026 at 10:16 PM
Does this count as old woman Yuri?

Anyways, incredibly fun movie to watch. The songs were great to listen to and the main pairing is what "Towa no Yugure" wanted to do but a whole lot better.

What is a "Towa no Yugure"? That is a correct assessment dear reader. What is that?
16. Chou Kaguya-hime! (Directed by: Shingo Yamashita, 2025)

A tired schoolgirl who works on a daily basis, does pretty good at school and is tired as shit (relatable) finds herself in a "Princess Kaguya" situation with the baby being from an electric pool than bamboo this time.
January 25, 2026 at 5:26 PM
Hey, it's a movie about Mexico with Shin Chan facing cactus...

It certainly is that. (Kinda sad to say after starting pretty good with the last two films I saw before this one)
15. Crayon Shin-chan: Ora no Hikkoshi Monogatari! Saboten Daisuugeki (Directed by: Masakazu Hashimoto, 2015)

Shin Chan but we go to Mexico where cactus attack people.

In spite of the silly premise, the final act, specially when Shinnousuke is with the Incel reliving his life was touching.

That scene alone was more than worth it but honestly, the movie with quite good CGI and all was pretty good. I may not enjoy one part of the humour but the presentation more +
14. Shin Jigen! Crayon Shin-chan THE MOVIE: Chounouryoku Daikessen - Tobe Tobe Temakizushi (Directed by: Hitoshi Oone, 2023)

Shin-chan but it's a movie about the fight of a super mega giga incel and a kid with ass powers.
January 22, 2026 at 3:51 PM
Although it is silly, some scenes were kinda scary ngl. Not ironically could pass for a horror movie in some aspects even if it is still a kids movie and everything is gonna be fine by the end.

Pretty good.
13. Crayon Shin-chan: Densetsu wo Yobu Odore! Amigo! (Directed by: Yuuji Muto, 2016)

New year, new anime for kids franchise to watch with friends.

This time

Samba apocalypse.

I put the "I believe" because the background drawing of the show really makes it feel like they are in the same place when in theory they are traveling as round the continent.

Aside from that, simple show, works, I enjoy the character dynamics of the three main and the supporting is not half bad.
12. Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi (Directed by: Kiyoshi Matsuda, 2023)

Isekai but cooking and a guy traveling (I believe) here and there with his doggo bf and slime son.
January 11, 2026 at 7:32 PM
Back then, when this aired, I already gave this a 10.

I DO NOT REGRET IT.

All the rewatch did was make me love it more. I love the characters and the stories told (shoutouts to the Queen with no Followers, Bottle of Happiness, the ripper, Deep Sorrow from the past and The Two Teachers/Apprentices)
11. Majo no Tabitabi (Directed by: Toshiyuki Kubooka, 2018) [[REWATCH]]

A girl named Elaina wishes to go exploring the world just like in her favourite book. This, she goes here and there experiencing many things

Great movie to sendoff the Doraemon movie watching (for now). Great film. Super good looking and i really liked the whole stuff related to the robots and how they grow attached to Nobita and the others. Specially makes the climax and ending a bit heartbreaking.
10. Doraemon: Shin Nobita to Tetsujin Heidan - Habatake Tenshi-tachi (Directed by: Yukiyo Teramoto, 2011)

Doraemon but the bois get some parts of a robot and play with them. However, soon they realize things are more complicated than they seem.
January 11, 2026 at 4:39 AM
I've been watching Doraemon movies since last year.

This truly was one of them.
9. Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dougu Museum (Directed by: Yukiyo Teramoto, 2013)

Doraemon but there is a mystery and we go to a museum
January 11, 2026 at 4:33 AM
Route so good, it made me want to talk about it here even if I was thinking talking about the game as a whole after I finish it.

Fascinating route and probably a favourite of mine so far (with Romance and Comedy routes having potential to become another ones).
8. The Hundred Line: Killing Game Route (Written by: Kyohei Oyama, 2025)

After some incidents, Takumi and the Bois find a graffiti'd board that reads "let's play a killing game" and Takumi decides to play it. This doesn't end poorly (lie)

I already loved the movie.

After rewatching and getting giga boost from the Megumin series, it is even better.

I have a bias for Megumin, love Yunyun even more and enjoyed the fuck out of this movie. It's just Konosuba (affective).
7. Konosuba Movie: Kurenai Densetsu (Directed by: Takaomi Kana saki, 2019)

Konosuba but Kazuma and the others go to Megumin chuuni village to save it after hearing it from Yunyun.
January 11, 2026 at 4:27 AM
It wasn't bad when it was at the village but once they got out of there, the show improved quite a lot.

Still has the charm of Konosuba and it made me quite like the Yunyun (including herself) and Megumin character dynamic even more.

Pretty good 👌
6. Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Bakuen wo! (Directed by: Yuujirou Abe, 2023)

Or as I affectionately call it, Megumin origins as it tells her early days at her school and what led her to become obsessed with Explosions.
January 11, 2026 at 4:26 AM
It was still pretty good and I enjoyed it but I do need to talk about the evident elephant that wishes to be addressed.

Kaguya anime always has made a lot of cuts and jumps to many chapters but whatever they decided to adapt they did masterfully.
5. Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Otona e no Kaidan (Directed by: Mamoru Hatakeyama, 2025)

Special where they tell some stories about what happened afterwards the "First Kiss never Ends" arc with a framing device taken from Kaguya and Miyuki as adults.
January 2, 2026 at 5:28 AM
While I cannot say I like how they handle the racism/prejudice towards the beast folk in the show, I take that way more than Chiramune cartoon villains.

Still, when it wasn't about what I mentioned, it is pretty cute and I enjoyed the group it created with the four.
4. Kimi to Koete Koi ni Naru (Directed by: Shin Itagaki, 2025)

Romance but we have ✨Furries✨ and a bit of racism analogies.
January 2, 2026 at 5:26 AM
Was in my radar the moment I knew Kuzushiro, who made Moon on a Rainy Night and it did not disappoint.

Great cast, pretty good comedy and some moments where they take themselves seriously (like Mizuki Convo with her sister) that were pretty well done.
3. Egao no Taenai Shokuba desu (Directed by: Kaoru Suzuki, 2025)

A story about mangakas (who may or may not be gay, really open to interpretation (not exactly)) and their daily lives.
January 2, 2026 at 5:24 AM
Simple romcom, nothing to write home about but it's a fine time altogether.
2. Chanto Suenai Kyuuketsuki-chan (Directed by: Sayaka Yamai, 2025)

Romcom but with a vampire (and other fantastical creatures I guess) in modern Japan where average Joe interacts with popular vampire only to learn she doesn't know how to suck blood.
January 2, 2026 at 5:20 AM
A Korean movie to start the year (even if I was planning to use this to end last year lol)

Pretty fucking good film. Incredible direction that often makes me reminisce Makoto Shinkai and I really love the relationship between the two.

The most agonizing climax I have seen.
1. Lost in Starlight (Directed by: Ji-won Han, 2025)

Girl meets boy but girl wants to be an astronaut and boi wants to become a musician but gives up.
January 1, 2026 at 8:10 AM
I don't promise to keep up, but whether this site survives or not, whether I write till the end or not, I write for the love of the medium.
