I don't want to call it laziness, because habits and platforms affect what we even see as options. But when almost every hyper-rare limited press record is up on YouTube and archive.org has its treasure trove of materials, the problem isn't finding things, it's deciding what to focus on.

With a modicum of effort, I can tap into almost any subculture anywhere, modern or historical. No more reading about an album in a magazine and waiting years to see a copy of it in a store or to run into someone who could lend you a copy. Or hoping for a local rep cinema to screen a cult classic.
