Working on this long term Vancouver restaurant history project, I stumbled across one of a few of our Chopstick recycling stations tucked away in the Harbour Centre mall.
They turn the chopsticks into new wood flooring, which I imagine are so good you could eat off them.

I told them it was something that used to be called a “marital aid” back in the day, and thought i’d just leave it at that. They were even more confused.

Thanks to a bit of a fruit-fly outbreak at the Chapman Estates this weekend, I’m re-reading I Caught Flies for Howard Hughes—one of the odder tell-all’s that appeared after Hughes’ death.
The task/book requires some chemical weapons backup & home made flytraps to fully enjoy.

I went by myself to catch the late screening of @28yearslater.bsky.social tonight in #VancouverBC. When I walked out of the cinema at midnight, I thought I’d walked into the film. All of Burrard Street from the bridge to Broadway completely empty. No cars. No people! Not a living soul around!

With no pennies in Canada, and times tight. Nobody is throwing nickels and dimes into fountains in #Vancouver. Either that, or people are scooping them up to pay the rent.

My @nufctrust.bsky.social “Bag for Life” I bought at St. James Park in 2017 has seen better days. Still ten years is a good run. I guess it’s high time I toss it, get a new one, or pursue litigation against Mike Ashley for False Advertising.
