A Practical Guide to Evil is one my favorite web-serials but also fantasy series and now it is improved and in book form. I fell in love with the characters and how some characters are literally effected by genre tropes and understanding them is an actually powerful skillset. 📚

I really enjoyed The Blackfire Blade by James Logan, it is an excellent sequel to The Silverblood Promise. I enjoyed the character arc the main characters go through both to better themselves and learned to better rely on each other. I look forward to the sequel. #thelastlegacy#theblackfireblade📚

The second book in the Kindom series "On Vicious Worlds" by Bethany Jacobs continues the excellent sci-fi series. This book definitely had a lot more building tension and dread with the characters dealing with the fallout from the last book and new threats closer to home. #thekindom#booksky📚

The Runelord by David Farland is such a good old fantasy books. I love the magic of endowments and how several of the characters wrestle with the ethics with it while others exploit it for their own power and cruelty. I look forward to reading the sequels. #therunelords 📚 #booksky

"The Pariah" is an excellent fantasy book with an extremely flawed main character with an interesting look into how faith and religion affects and is used by people. There is also a subtle magical element that brings up more intrigue. #thepariah #thecovenantofsteel #anthonyryan #booksky 📚

This is a fun supernatural western. I really like how the the yeti is portrayed both as a character and the interpretation of the legend. James Crowley is enjoyable main character being a former outlaw with a decent moral center.

I love the The Divine Cities series and the City of Miracles is an excellent finale. In between the story of revenge and the horrors of divinity is a message of how holding on to your suffering and sorrow will only cause more harm to yourself and others. #cityofmiracles #divinecities 📚

Old soldiers turned chefs must navigate through an ever escalating dangerous situation with a bioship. This a fun sci-fi book but it definitely feels like a lot of it is geared towards setting up a sequel and my feeling for this book might depend on the sequel. #yousexything#thediscospaceopera

A Song of Legends Lost by M. H. Ayinde is a fantastic start to a unique fantasy series. That is because it is science fantasy and the world-building and mysteries surrounding the past are intriguing. I also love all the point of view characters. #theinvokertrilogy #asongoflegendslost #booksky 📚

Illuminae is probably one most unique sci-fi books I read. The way it is format is as if someone created ARG and adapted it to book format. It is also a intense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. #Illuminae #TheIlluminaeFiles #booksky

An Illusion of Thieves by Cate Glass is an excellent start to a fantasy series. The main protagonist Romy is my favorite as she has to struggle to overcome her self-hatred for her magic. It starts off slow but does pick up near the halfway point. #booksky #chimera

"Empire of the Vampire" by Jay Kristoff is an excellent grim dark vampire book. I enjoyed the dark, vampiric, and gothic aesthetics of the book and how the characters face seemingly impossible odds but do so on a thin chance for a better future.

I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as did. Even having enjoyed Naomi Novik's other books I was surprised how fun this historical fantasy with dragons was and I especially enjoyed the developing friendship of Laurence and the dragon Temeraire. #HisMajesty'sDragon#Temeraire#booksky
