What are the question marks over Rayner?

I'm guessing it is the same for health care. All find while healthy but it suddenly becomes very expensive when they get seriously ill

Free sadly doesn't mean free. The rules are less than the cost of a 1st class stamp so a million entries are far from free sadly!

Thank you
December 14, 2025 at 12:34 PM
Oh totally but the other regulations that lotteries bring (charity lotteries in particular) including minimum amounts to charity outweigh the few free entries

But they choose not to

Do you have a link to the draw? I'd be interested in taking a closer look

And even that code is barely a few months old I understand

It would give them the female participant they need.

Any other kind of raffle for a prize this large would require registration with the Gambling Commission (I think due to the size of the prize) but I don't think they are allowed to switch prizes part way through which suggests it is a free prize draw or it is illegal
December 14, 2025 at 11:27 AM
It depends on the type of 'raffle' they are carrying out. If it is a free prize draw, there are basically no rules around this area beyond enusing there is a free entry option. (It is the same format Omaze use)

Is there another way I can buy the Lychford Collection in paperback or it is just from your stall?

Good luck for today. I hope you sell loads.

It is what you implied. Certainly that is how I read it.

And yes, if you want to stop DV then don't give your money to Cats Protection, but they do help some survivors of DV which can only be a good thing.
November 15, 2025 at 9:42 AM
So if a charity can't solve DV (or get to the heart of it as you say) they should not bother helping survivors escape their abusers?

One of the ways abusers control their victims is threatening their animals that they know aren't allowed in DV shelters.

Many animals charities including Cats Protection and Dogs Trust run services to help victims of domestic violence www.cats.org.uk/what-we-do/c...

This isn't to say your opinion or position is wrong, I just thought you'd like to know.

People forget this happened when Fleming was writing the original books. Bond died at the end of From Russia With Love. In Dr No, he got better (they even kept the conversation about him getting better in the film version of Dr No). Just do the same thing again.
