I’m so happy to have been awarded my doctorate in Mathematics, specialising in Quantum Dynamics.

I have celebrated the end of my PhD any times and I’m proud to be the first Holmes in my family tree, not just to have an undergrad degree, but a PhD!

Three great talks touching on particle physics, quantum computing and the value of the scientific method in the face of A.I. automation.

I am forever grateful to the Asexual (and Aromantic) activists out there fighting for our right to live safe and comfortable lives.

I'm found of the Taoist mind set and appreciate the DailyTao which cycles through the 81 chapters of the Tao Te Ching.

It pains me to see how relevant todays chapter is for the current state of governing...

I visited @portalbookshop.bsky.social and the Rainbow cafe for the first time in York.
An amazing welcoming hub with some inspired community events on offer.

I also had the pleasure of meeting @malin.Fox (insta) who creates hand embroidered monuments for Trans day of rememberence, link in next post

I visited a close friend at my old university, University of Nottingham, and I was delighted to see a poster in the Chemistry department for the oSTEM conference that I'll be presenting at!

Thesis writing update:
Often my figures show the time evolution of Fock (harmonic oscillator) states represented on position-momentum space. Well... to go along with the To-Do-Dog (and friends), we now have debut of the Fox state 🦊
