Not necessarily in that order - or the same time!
That's a good shout - thanks - hadn't thought of that 👍

Was going to take the opportunity, as it's been damp up there, to use some BiltHamber rustproofing cavity wax though!

I noticed Classic FM, which I usually have on low in the background when I'm working from home, started playing carols over the last day or so.

F**k off, it's November.

Alternative cynical answer:

Didn't get in at the last elections on a Conservative ticket (they ran in a different ward, really low vote share), has watched the way the wind has been blowing in the polls and is thinking where their chances best lie.

Same. Got the MIL a new TV having bought my parents the previous model only weeks before.

New version had google baked in, so it demanded an email address just to be a TV. Absolutely full of unnecessary rubbish and failed to maintain its tune every time the power was unplugged too.

Returned it.

👍

I'd seen similar when I looked earlier but it seems a bit too... simple... as a solution, and I don't want to force it on the basis that's what it is only to find out it is actually clipped and break something!

Had a 1999/T-plate 2.0 GhiaX estate in some deep metallic blue once.

A comfy cruiser, loaded with options - although somewhat spoiled with not just an automatic transmission that bored me to death but a cruise control setup that seemed to randomly accelerate for the horizon when it felt like it 😬

Give me a two second burst of one quarter impulse, I'll do the rest with thrusters...

^ This.

I have upper front arms to change on the Alfa Sportwagon before it goes for MOT in mid-January.

I had intended to do it in the summer when rolling around on the floor is tolerable, and any rain dripping down your neck is likely to be warm.

I didn't so am now debating paying a man 🤣

I think their shareholders love them being in business - but have an attitude that suggests they don't give a shit if customers like or can use what they provide or not; they almost arrogantly believe there is nowhere for the customer to go.

Microsoft's new mantra - same as the old one, I suspect - appears to be "If it works, keep fiddling with it until it doesn't"

It's a seminal moment; marking the end of a time in your lives that began with sitting on plastic chairs that felt far too small, progressed through christmas shows with far too many recorders being played, and ended with graduation.

It's a celebration - but I still felt sad when ours finished.

Ironically, I don't think we saw anyone from the weirdcar community - we need to co-ordinate better next year, Charlie! 👍😊

👍 We liked this when we saw it - simplistic honesty offset with questionable build quality and reliability issues in equal measure!
