I’m so hyped about the del Toro adaptation!! It looks so good.

But yeah. I read this for the first time 5 years ago and it blew my mind. I couldn’t believe how aggressively feminist it is. It’s one of the more thought provoking “classics” I’ve ever read.

The movies that have scared me the most over the past decade are Lake Mungo, Hereditary and most recently, Host.

My bf and I watched Host the other night and we were so fucking scared hahaha. It’s on Shudder.
