Slightly annoyed it’s taken me nearly 60 years to realise how fascinating arthropods are (esp. flies, bees, wasps, arachnids moths, beetles, bugs and, well, all types really). Fungi are amazing too. Carver, printmaker and occasional writer. OTBC!
Oh that’s terrible - have you considered a career change? 😂

Ooo thank you. Even more chuffed now. I’ll be sure to record it.

I was going to write something witty but my brain’s melted so I’ll just stick with happy anniversary and we hope you’re having a great time!

My old stomping ground. I wish they’d had this when I young. Hope it’s a good day for everyone

Thank you for writing this Clive. It puts into words what so many of us are thinking. The tragedy in Gaza is not about politics or religion. It’s about hatred and power wielded by a few individuals who are allowed to carry on their inhumane acts by world leaders too cowardly to stand up to them.

It would indeed. It’s been too long ( my fault I know).

Oh that sounds very good. I’ll try and take you up on that ME affliction and mortgage hunting allowing…

Ooo thank you! Is there an entry fee for the tours and do they come with tea and cake?

Forbids are such amazing birds - but that one looks like it’s wondering if you’re edible 😳

I managed to do that on our indoor geraniums a couple of years ago. Wound up with eight of them floating around the house 🙄

They are such lovely flowers. Understated but definitely worth a second look.

Thank you for the hint. I may have to give it a go next time I cull the nettles. Meanwhile, if you see a suspicious figure rooting through your compost bins at the allotment - it isn’t me!
November 26, 2024 at 2:34 PM
Well done. I thought it must be fairly common too so I’ve been looking for it too since I heard about it a couple of weeks ago. I’m still searching. I think the nettles round here are fungus-proof!

I thought it would be a proper something. If i was any good at harvestman id i would have known that without asking!
November 24, 2024 at 5:46 PM
I thought I was. I'll have to have a pudge round the cemetery in the next couple of days then. Are they still in the usual place?
November 24, 2024 at 5:44 PM
Oh they are lovely 😍 I haven’t managed to see any waxcaps at all yet this year.
November 23, 2024 at 10:07 PM
It looks wonderful. What sort of harvestman is it?
