I like bunnies and democracy.
The first evening of lockdown, I went walking in the neighborhood with a bourbon and Coke and ran into a neighbor out walking with a glass of wine. It was like we all understood that there were no rules anymore (other than the lockdown rules).

I was supposed to see the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC, in 2020. We had booked flights for three or four weekends and planned to cancel whichever ones didn’t coincide with peak bloom. We finally saw them in 2022. Worth the wait.

Yes, the togetherness despite the separation was wonderful. While it lasted.

You are describing my garage.

I’m in Texas, and my full-time WFH job got really slow and casual during lockdown, so I started each morning with a 20-mile ride around town. The roads were amazing! Eventually I stopped, though, when hospitals got close to full and I really didn’t want to risk a crash.

My neighbor girls (then in elementary, middle, and high school) chalked up the driveway for my husband’s lockdown birthday.

Medicaid recipients won’t run primary challengers against them.

Even if some number of children have died from vaccine side effects, which is of course tragic, how many children’s deaths have been prevented?

FWIW, my insurance has always paid for my extra doses. I recognize that not everyone has such good (or any) insurance, though, and it’s always a gamble.

We have an open-air rink where I am in Texas! It takes A LOT of effort to keep it frozen. It was in the 80s last week. 🥵

Looks like she’s started Stepford-ifying her face. 🥴

Because then we’d “learn” that they’re just fishermen?
November 29, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Yes, people would be trying to scam their doctors into prescribing all sorts of drugs so they can fund vacations and stuff with the savings.
November 29, 2025 at 2:11 PM
Medicare/Medicaid prices on a handful of drugs have been reduced (which is mostly a savings for the government, not individuals). And needless to say, none have fallen by even 100%, much less 700%.

You didn’t get it too early. You just got unlucky.

Sometimes I get a “bonus” dose (like this summer before I went on a big trip), but that’s not recommended, either. (Not recommended against, but not specifically recommended.)

You may not be able to ban him from all family gatherings, but you can ban him — and his pathetic mother — from those within your control.
November 29, 2025 at 1:45 PM
I don’t think so. They know the remaining 25-30% has been radicalized into his own personal army, so that would be too risky.
November 29, 2025 at 11:55 AM
His disgusting, broken brain does it without even trying.
November 29, 2025 at 11:51 AM
That’s okay, [insert survivorship bias joke here].
November 29, 2025 at 11:47 AM
Yeah, believing in abortion but trading it for deporting people who’ve done absolutely nothing wrong? Soulless is the right word for sure.

Horrific.

On Black Friday?!?!?
November 29, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Infuriating, isn’t it? A Democrat I know said he just couldn’t vote for Biden/Kamala and that Trump wasn’t that bad. Fucking moron.
November 29, 2025 at 12:19 AM
I agree it’s…sub-optimal.
