That's pretty much what I'm doing.
But I had to unfollow someone *tonight*. I think it's worth it that the people who interact with me here know that it's still a BFD for me.
Would it have been better for you if I had said *a* HP game rather than *the* HP game? They keep adding new ones...

Honestly I wasn't expecting this to blow up like this and maybe that's on me, maybe I should have.
But I've had to unfollow a streamer I found pretty fun tonight to stick to my principles, and I wanted to at least try to avoid having to do that again, if at all possible. It sucks.

And the only reason Americans even have the meagre social programs they've spent the last 40 + years chipping at.
Sadly since that proved effective, it was deemed unfair and never to be considered again, lest actual change happen.

And over everything else, the US needs to destroy Citizens United.
For crying out loud the only sensible response to "btw, election interference is legal as long as you put it in a nonprofit" should have been "alright let's add two judges to that court and try again"

I know that cartoon with the threadmill and the knife stab probably says it better, but it's amazing how the concept of "selling your soul" accurately describes a post in this administration: a short time of acting like an unrestrained jerk in exchange for the stain forevermore (and maybe worse...)

I should qualify: obviously that's not true for everybody in these countries, but, like southern states in the US, these countries have a mass of conservative voters that has sufficient weight so you will see politicians come into office regularly that have views you wouldn't associate with the EU.

The EU swallowed a lot of Eastern European countries when the USSR broke up that *really* don't feel the same way about LGBTQ issues as Western Europe (that's how Germany finds itself with the AfD sweeping the former East Germany) but also really wanted out of the Russian sphere of influence.

The only use I ever saw to the "alt-right" monicker is that people would dismiss what you said if you called them fascists.
