New arrival to my fossil collection: a piece of mid-Cretaceous Burmese amber (~99 Ma) with a beautifully preserved ant. Based on visible traits, it may be a stem-group ant, possibly †Gerontoformica — but I’m very much a novice, so please take that ID with a grain of salt. 😅
