Yes. And Edvinsson last year was good enough to be in the NHL, but they kept him in the AHL. (And to a lesser extent, Berggren last year as well). But comparing how many Red Wings prospects were in the NHL from the last ~5 drafts with either teams on your site, it wasn't noticeably different

As a Detroit Red Wings fan (a team who by reputation over-season their prospects in the AHL but by the numbers I'm not sure if they do) I find this a fascinating question. If I was smarter I'd offer to look into. But since I'm not, @prashanthiyer.bsky.social ?

I realize you probably covered this in the pod and I should just listen to it, but remember when Gerard Gallant was an assistant captain for the Red Wings in '90-'91 when they broke their last playoff drought? I'm still pulling for Newsy to write the ship though....
