Or perhaps the Marc Forster movie?

I'm in two minds about this. I really enjoyed the dialogue and voices, but I feel unsure about erasing the Stationmaster's wife's voice (feminist inside me IG).

I am overthinking this? IDK. I love winwatch's content, and I doubt they actually meant anything behind this creative choice, at least.

A new episode? Yay!

Hope things are OK Matt; take as long as you need.

I knew it! First steam is threatened, then the rise of diesels. Only one thing could come next...

Do - do you think he's dead?

Only if you banished him to the Shadow Realm.

I used to think this episode's plot was messy, but after recently watching an adaptation and appreciating the aspects, I can see why you like it.

Cue Hartshorne accident music before the lightning strike.

Nice. May I ask if you have any favourite/least favourite eras?

Hopefully not racism, sexism or xenophobia?

Brief note on liveries: I'm still making up my mind on Nia's, but I wish Rebecca wore one of these liveries.
(I know the blue ones are Merchant Navy's and Rebecca's a Light Pacific; but hey, that doesn't prevent the team applying a MN livery)

I think a constructive appreciation of these characters' good and bad is key. But whatever you do, no sexism, racism or xenophobia.

To sum, I think Nia and Rebecca had potential, but it was mostly underused or unused (5/5).

I think more episodes about Nia and Rebecca, and a greater focus on their personalities, could have addressed some of these points. But since their introduction seemingly arose at least largely from corporate requirements, and with half of BWBA episodes occurring off Sodor, neither happened. (4/5)

Rebecca I have more to say about, since I'm a sucker for Bulleid pacifics. What about their wheelslip problems? Their prodigious haulage capacity? Maintenance issues? Their air-smoothed casing? etc. More focus on Rebecca's character would also have been welcome. (3/5)

Starting with Nia: why exactly did she lose her shed? What's her backstory? More fleshing out of her character (both strengths and weaknesses) would have been good too I think. (2/5)

Yeah this kinda beats the way KOTR starts IMO, provided they kept the lore. Maybe have Norramby on Spencer's train & the title, then lore dump?
