Otherwise trying to ignore all that laundry
Those colours… 😍 There was a Norwegian painter (world famous in Norway, haha) who painted the polar light at Svalbard. Your photo reminds me of him 🥰

It’s a fairytale of a picture 🩷💜 I’ve been there many years ago. A bit disappointed of the magnitude of tourists, probably a bit naïve to expect to be there alone 🙈😅

I have traveled to Paris for a week once a year for almost ten years. To take pictures and forget about everyday life. This trip is a bit melancholic as it will be the last for a very long time. I have seen almost everything the city has to offer, will miss it 🖤

I have to add that I love the composition where the large elephant is emerging from the right side - it adds energy to the scene and wouldn’t have been as interesting if the whole animal was visible. Never underestimate a clever crop ☺️

Wonderful photo, Christoph 🤩 I visited Cape Town in 1997, but never got the chance to go to Table Mountain (I think the cable car was being renovated). Will never forget those two weeks I spent in South Africa 🥰

I live by the words of Victor Hugo: “Melancholy is the happiness of being sad” 😉

Oh no! Some of us Scandinavians have learned how to master the gloom 😆 That’s why we spend so much time and money redecorating our homes - we spend half the year indoors, lol! I love the melancholy - it’s when I do most of my photography 🖤
