Yes, this decisions need to be made and I am in favor of small scale experiments, less harm in case of failure and opens a path to self governed spaces. But technology alone doesn't enforce anything. Not sure if we are on the same page already. Happy to explore this.

What new affordances can be designed without becoming technocratic about them? I find it difficult (lack of knowledge) to discuss behavioral design (boosting, nudging) as a way to design technical systems. Isn't that something that can only be measured afterwards?

Retrofit of Mixxx makes sense. The controls for djing are quite fixed, no? I have some experience with livecoding, stretching and reordering samples. So when I could add new hardware controls to djing, what would they be? What will your customization be based on?
