From the Editorial Board: In the endorsement business, it is both rare and heartening to be genuinely excited about a candidate for Congress.

We feel that way about Thomas Fisher, an emergency room doctor at University of Chicago Medicine, a former White House fellow.

Alex Pretti, who is identified as the man fatally shot by a U.S. Border Patrol officer in Minneapolis on Saturday, was an intensive care nurse dedicated to treating veterans.
