Oh this is cool.
There is a human tendency not to learn a needed lesson, when we are protected by others from the consequences of our own actions. That doesn't mean we should find joy in the actual suffering of others when those consequences finally occur to them.
It's terrible to cheer on the demise of other people just because of their ignorance and folly.
Black Americans vote the way that we do because we know this country's worst impulses; others don't believe it. They'll have to see for themselves, and no, I don't rejoice in their FAFO. It's a tragedy.
