asking creators not to engage with fandom outside of Canon events and such means at panels you cant ask the fun questions then. And 90% of what people WANT to ask at these panels are the fun questions or Canon stuff that creators actually cant even talk about.

I think that's on the person if they cant separate "I hate this ship" and "this ship sucks". Viv has said previously she doesnt discourage any ships (ethically questonable ones aside like Via x Stolas). Even in this tweet she never said the ship sucks, just that she doesnt like it.

Feels a little weird to tell the creator of the very thing you want to celebrate that they aren't allowed to participate because youre scared of their opinion.
