Week 10 Recap: Gators, Granite, and Happy Days While we rang in the New Year, Counties Across Texas didn't slow down. We explored the deep pine forests, the coastal wetlands, and the friendly high plains that make our state so unique. Across seven new match-ups, we met the people who manage our water, harvest our crops, and welcome travelers to Texas. We saw how counties like Polk and Burnet steward our precious lakes, while places like Swisher and La Salle preserve the rural spirit that defines us. One theme stood out this week: Local Identity. From the "Town Without a Frown" to the "Bluebonnet Capital," Texans take immense pride in who they are—and they want a government that respects that.
