Oath to country still matters to most.
I doubt the non political career people are responsible for this… they definitely have brought their own people in to do these kinds of idiocy. Or gotten AI to write policy. The backlash was predictable and reversed this once it was made known. Oaths still matter. The fight is real.

We don’t enough. The US is close with the UAE, which is backing the RSF. the Stand Up for Sudan Act (S 935/HR 2059) and the US involvement in Sudanese Peace Act (HR 1939 address this. Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib are co-sponsors! Call your reps! Have them support these bills!
