I wonder if they counted the hypello as genderless. They used he/him for them in the game, but I think they're supposed to be neutral. Think it came up in the x-2 ultimania guide, but it's been a while

Most of the other important npcs are men, so I don't really doubt it. For women, there's YuRiPa, Leblanc, Lenne (3 lines), and Lulu I guess. For men there's Leblanc's 2 henchmen, those 3 important dudes, Shuyin, Wakka, Kihmari, Brother, Buddy, Shinra, Ren, the duck guy, and Cid.

No, just ToS, TotA, parts of DotNW, and the mobile game Tales of Rays. Hearts DS was Naoki Yamamoto, and Keishi Maeda did the additional R scenario

It's funny because aside from the main three, leblanc, and lenne (who has like 3 lines), all the major characters are dudes.
