MGS3 felt more like an apology than it actually was; that game cohesively had its shit together and was overall on point. But MGS4 was him slipping back into his old ways. In the end, I feel like the less hype he's given, the better the outcome.

MGS2. That's all I need to say. But I'll say more anyway; dude had this (subjectively) great idea/statement about how the oncoming digital age can be duplicitous. And how does he employ this idea?

The rug pull and the reactions were HIDEOUS. While the gameplay was stellar, I look at MGS2-

Kojima has great ideas. Lots. But they are also WILD, CHAOTIC AND INSANE ideas. I'm not really in a position to criticize, but I think -he- thinks exploring his ideas are more worthwhile than respecting his audiences' and their patience. And he doesn't respect women if Meryl is anyone to go by.

He's been using a metaphorical potato cannon made of PVC pipes to launch ideas out into the ocean to see which one makes the biggest splash, & asspulls for Ocelot really seem to make the BIGGEST splashes, since he can't exactly do (much) of that to Snake himself. Though there's a deeper issue...

Kojima was, IIRC, low man on the fire pole at Konami when he started out and nobody expected him to knock one out of the park with any of the Metal gear games.
