Also, they really need to work better on crafting their messaging. "Against the Constitution" makes you sound like you're staging a coup. "We need a Constitution 2.0" appeals to Americans' enthusiasm for novelty and innovation

Feel like democratic socialists need to get back to that constitutional agitation thing that they were doing from 2017 to 2019 which demands to abolish the electoral college, abolish the senate, and so on. Aziz Rana's scholarship on this country's legal mechanisms should be required reading.

Actually, depending on which company fails first, there may not be a bailout coming this time--OpenMind has said they're basically going to need an infusion of *half a trillion dollars* to keep going, and that would be year after year until they somehow figure out how to be profitable.

You're entirely correct, but laying off workers--especially right before an annual report to your shareholders--makes your quarterly earnings look *really* good, which is all these fools actually care about. Ed Zitron calls it the 'rot economy'

It's weird, because what he's suggesting is basically social democracy (if not out-and-out socialism), but since it's Altman, there's no way he actually means that and not, as you point out, feudalism.
