Proud Leaf fan & SeoPros Founder living one day at a time doing what I love in the greatest country in the world!
I was once a chef and the saying "too many cooks spoil the broth!" is a real thing. That would make AI an incredibly bad tool to generate recipes because of how the LLM would have to handle same recipe for more helpings and same recipe name with varying ingredients.

Always laugh when I see some dumb SEOs thinking cloaked files for GEO will only be discovered by AI providers... clearly no idea of how things really work or the history of cloaking and SE

Whenever I see %'s in this context I think to myself "from 1 to a 1000 is 99,900% increase!"

Numbers are still close to "not worth your time and clients money" to spend much budget.

IMO, like chasing directory clicks in 90's

Humans are creatures of habit that's why older people get news from TV because for most of their lives that has been the case! It is also likely the media they trust the most possibly for the same reason.

In 30 yrs I have never used traffic as KPI simply because it's just a number that is affected by too many variables that are out of an SEOs control!

It is ok if monetization is only display advertising but even there I'd be more inclined to use CTR as traffic is dependent on impressions

There is a good reason LLMs.txt does nothing!
- isn't a real protocol!
- isn't supported by SEs or NOTEWORTHY AI providers!
- redundant! (made so by a SUPPORTED robots.txt)
- It's in the ridiculous Markdown format

Doin' SEO like it's 1993! The first AI spam technique! Now that's sumthin' to be proud about!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Because html is removed from many LLMs for training I can see where some would (likely wrongly) ASSUME markup for plain text wouldn't be removed so headings etc. could be used for weighting.

IMO, that's a poor assumption that likely has the opposite affect since markdown is likely just text to LLMs

Mapquest is free (or was last I checked) and most of the others especially Google charge

"About" pages have also been important before Places/GBP for the same reasons. Google uses these pages in their TRUST algos

I like that they bought SEMrush... they turn everything they buy into an over priced polished turd!

I was thinking about this the other day additionally it'd be nice to know what SE Index was used. Some use more than 1 SE index so to prioritize work that would be another key metric

Yeah! For too many it's a lot like training the guy whose going to take your job!

I don't think agentic browsing will be as big as many believe. Trust is a major issue w/AI. Am I going to trust an AI agent can buy me a ticket to a ball game (or anything else for that matter) & make a better choice than I would myself. Browsing for some is the most enjoyable part of the task!

Interesting in that:
I watched a show where the people were having a relationship/friendship w/AI Chatbot

Vibe coding though not perfect will do 90% of heavy lifting boring parts.

Many Technical SEOs can ONLY identify the issue they can't do the actual programming of fix

Examples don't apply 2 U

I was creating agents in 2000! As were most programmers cuz AI agents only differ from our "agents" in that they don't require programming skills to implement them. Think about it and AI agents are just the same programming using the same INTERNET PROTOCOLS & content spinner initiated by a prompt.

IME, the best SEOs always have been critical thinkers and ideation people! If you're working for someone else and the job opportunity is only task or research related than find an employer that at least wants your input in campaign creation. Otherwise you're time in the field is limited

IMO, has been true since Google turned the Personalization knob to 10 so it's not just in the AI world. All you see is the side of the story they think you will find agreeable to you. I miss the early days when you got other views and divergent thinking.

I think it's less a boycott and more about FEAR of being hustled off to some 3rd world country w/no trial and Trump charging a fee to visit the US in some cases. I bet there is also a lot of Florida RE for sale by Ca. Snowbirds as well!

Have to live w/it! Consider anyone can change business hours in Google Business Profile which is an even bigger PITA given the open or closed is displayed in the SERP using those hours!
November 12, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Consider that many of the schema Google is removing they likely can gather using tabbed data or other crawling/indexing methods.

Besides the most effective schema for SEO often doesn't DIRECTLY appear in the results it can add data points that provide information about ENTITIES in the content!
