Another project in design is extending the side path/sidewalk infrastructure around Kelly and Apex BBQ. This will include new pedestrian push buttons on the west and south of the intersection. Design this year, construction next.

Apex Peakway North is being widened from Center St to Old Raleigh Rd to four lanes to improve traffic and safety. Design is underway, finishing in 2026, with right of way in 2027, construction starting 2028 and completing in 2029. A conceptual plan is available for public review.
