I've somehow become obsessed with mid 90s drum'n'bass radio mixes and this Dj Hype mix in particular is ace. (bonus points for being a soundcloud joint so it just keeps playing similar mixes afterward, which is super nice as I am buried in vfx work on a short film)

Flavored coffee creamer is great for those times when you'd really rather be drinking cake but don't want to deal with the stigma.

I just bought clothes hangers for what I'm pretty sure is the first time ever in my entire adult life. I am now officially 'old' by every conceivable metric.

40yrs ago yesterday, Public Image Ltd released 'Rise'.

I was aware that it featured Bill Laswell, Tony Williams, L. Shankar, and Ryuichi Sakamoto...
what I didn't know is that Steve Vai is all over this thing.

There was even talk of a band - John, Steve, Bill, and *Ginger Baker* on drums. Whoa

I went ham on eBay/Discogs buying old late 90s-early 00s compilations and mix CDs from the early days of my love affair with chill electronic. Mushroom Jazz, Late Night Tales, Back To Mine, DJ Kicks.... If I have to watch the world burn I might as well party like it's 1999 while doing so.

I must be bored because I just thought to myself 'hey maybe we should voluntarily update all our drivers and plugins' instead of just waiting for something to break like a normal person.

Currently watching the Todd Haynes Velvet Underground doc and trying my very best to not buy everything made of black denim that I find on eBay.

The new Father John Misty is basically Revolver/Rubber Soul era Beatles and I am perfectly fine with that. No notes.

Currently submitting new music to labels for what feels like the 100th time and no matter how often I do this I feel like the same nervous child who sent that first demo to John Digweed twenty fucking years ago.

It's like working up the courage to ask someone out on a date... every. single. time.

Whoa... per their Insta pages, Carter Vintage just bought Norman's Rare Guitars out in LA.

Wild...

I had been avoiding the Scorsese doc on Apple because it’s five hours long and I knew I’d be hooked instantly and would end up watching the whole thing at once… and that is exactly what just happened… and it is indeed fucking brilliant.

Fender is unveiling a full fledged DAW along with audio interfaces and Maschine style controllers.

Every time a venerable instrument manufacturer dips their toes in other waters I get nervous and think of the Gibson branded salad bowls in my kitchen and how astray they went for quite a while.

My current 'thing' is hunting for compilation CDs from the early days of my obsession with electronic music. Artificial Intelligence, Mushroom Jazz, GP's Worldwide, MTV Amp, etc.

Formative stuff for a kid from Nowhere, Ohio and I want to own them all, but man - some of these are silly expensive.

This has to be the strongest collection of international feature nominees we've seen in a great while, no? #goldenglobes

My favorite thing about hummus is that it's physically impossible to make just a little bit of it.

I have had Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone stuck in my head for three days now, and in case anyone is wondering, the answer is no - no it is not anywhere near as cool as it probably sounds.

Clark's score for the new zombie flick WE BURY THE DEAD is (predictably) pretty great.

Finally watching HIGHEST TO LOWEST (huge fan of the original) and this score is baffling. Melodramatic string and piano arrangements straight out of daytime tv, and it's playing underneath every scene.

I legit paused the film to see if I had left something playing somewhere else in the house.

My fancy pants 11 button mouse died on me and now I'm having to remember key commands in Pro Tools that I haven't actually had to enter in years, and it's like trying to remember phone numbers for people I talk to all the time.
