It would also make it harder for future nurses, therapists, and care workers to enter these professions by limiting their access to federal student loans. I will fight any policy that undermines the people who helped me care for my mother in her final year and who care for all of us every day. (4/5)

and later served as Director of Nursing at Atlantic Coastal Surgery Center. She pursued continuing education her entire life because she believed patients deserved the very best care.

This reclassification would devalue the careers of people like her. (3/5)

My mother was a Registered Nurse who earned one of the first CNOR certifications in our region. She supervised teams in the Operating Room at Atlantic City Medical Center, volunteered to take "call" for emergency cases that came through the Trauma Center, (2/5)

In NJ’s 2nd District, nearly 1 in 10 households rely on SNAP. Over 30,000 infants and children benefit from WIC. Thousands of veterans depend on food assistance or VA services that could face disruption.

This is not fiscal responsibility. It is cruelty disguised as politics.

The GOP’s so-called “One Big Beautiful Bill” locked in tax breaks for billionaires while demanding cuts to essential programs that working families depend on. Now they have refused to negotiate, holding the government hostage to protect their donors instead of their constituents.

Their manufactured shutdown is threatening to cut off SNAP and WIC, lifelines for families, children, and veterans right here in South Jersey. These are programs that keep food on the table when times are tough, and they are being used as bargaining chips in a political stunt.
