They keep saying he sent them in to "protect federal personnel and property," but it's much more. Where's the evidence of injury to FEDERAL property or employees? And deportations are about ethnic cleansing as much as removing criminals. They are executing their White Nationalist agenda.

Updates to who? Russia?

I think we're heading towards a civil war. When he moves to abolish the Constitution so he can rule as a fascist dictator, there will be a revolution.

Outrageous!

We survived a 21 day shutdown in 1995 under Clinton, a 16 day shutdown in 2013 under Obama. The GOP had the guts to shut it down. Now you plan to roll over for a Fascist President? That position affirms the weakness of our Party. Spineless Traitor!

I know a big component of Catholic Charities is to help immigrants navigate the asylum process with legal counsel. But I think their funding has been impacted by USAID cuts like other faith-based charities.

In fiscal 2024, 43 pounds of fentanyl were seized at the northern border, while more than 21,000 pounds were seized at the southern border. In 2023, 86% of convictions for fentanyl trafficking were US citizens. But we should play dumb and believe them to justify tariffs that will raise our prices.

How are they in compliance with The Preventing Organizational Conflicts of Interest in Federal Acquisition Act signed into law in 2022?

I'd say Trump is the better manipulator based on his experience. He's been doing it longer. He mastered the art of using people to get what he wants. I also don't think Musk reads his audience as well as Trump.

Agree. I'm her age and care for my father with Alzheimer's. His doctor told us not to leave him alone over a year ago. He can still do a lot on his own. I was surprised she left Hackman alone for hours 2 days before her death. Backup is essential for AZ caregivers.

But she chose not to ask for help, and it's especially available to people with their means. That's what is so tragic. Two days before her death, she picked up the dog from the Vet, went grocery shopping, then to CVS obviously very sick. They had millions and chose not to pay for help.

I care for my dad with advanced Alzheimer's, but I ask for help. Our family shares the load and we pay for an Assistant to cover shifts weekly. We're not millionaires. His wife must have been the type who didn't wanna ask for help or didn't wanna pay for help?
March 8, 2025 at 5:45 AM
The medical report said Hackman had no food in his stomach but he wasn't dehydrated. From my experience with my father who has advanced Alzheimer's, he'll grab something to drink on his own, but can't prepare food for himself. The poor dog in the kennel for 15 days no doubt died of dehydration.
March 8, 2025 at 5:38 AM
According to the timeline, she was grocery shopping and at CVS just two days before all communication ceased on the 11th. I didn't know the Hauntavirus could take someone so quick. Hackman's pacemaker stopped on the 18th. He had no food in him, probably no meds either.

They don't think he even knew she passed. As you know, they lose concept of time, a week can seem like a day. He might have thought she was at the store. It's so sad.
March 8, 2025 at 5:21 AM
With all the wealth, I don't understand why there was no help with Hackman's condition. My father has advanced Alzheimer's, and we have a combination of family and hired assistants in his home weekly. Humans aren't meant to isolate. There is no shame is asking for help. So sad the way they went. 😥

OMG, and he is Special Counsel to POTUS. I don't know if we should be concerned or comforted by this reality. How about USA effectively manning our own borders? #navarro
March 7, 2025 at 6:26 AM
If #Musk wasn't such an ignorant fool about the workings of government, unaware of the fact people pay into federal programs from which they may later benefit, I'd be upset. He became part of the "No Class" billionaires club when he stepped out of his lane and publicized his incompetence.

He's a moving target, doesn't remember what he says, often contradicts himself. I think he has borderline personality disorder. People walk on eggshells around him like victims of PTSD. The whole Cabinet will end up with Stockholm Syndrome.

What I count on from NPR is reporting what he actually stated, including his contradictions. The truth part ends there.

It's hard not to feel that way, but it hurts us more than them. I have to limit my exposure to his support base, or I'd be arguing with fools every day.
March 7, 2025 at 5:16 AM
He took responsibility and accepted his fate over 20 years ago. Crazy it took so long. I don't support the death penalty, but I respect his decision.

Besides the fact I would agree the term fits, given the context and his expression, the use was more like, "Isn't this a b××××" rather than namecalling.
