I didn't, but I could have communicated it better. My remark was directed at the OP who emblazoned "pedo" on the image, and at the commenters in that thread voicing agreement.

I'm not trying to badger, but most of that thread is blatant mythmaking. We know nothing about their relationship beyond this email chain. To assert that we know literally anything else about them, unsupported by evidence, is just fiction. What is the point?

Once again I feel as though people are jumping the gun here. Notoriously shitty person is connected to other notoriously shitty person? Yeah, that's... not surprising. Epstein was courting power and influence. But to assume literally everyone the guy interacted with is a pedophile is just idiotic.

It's not even a particularly deep conspiracy. Rich people have power and use it to influence the world to their whims, and almost exclusively for the worse of mankind. That's just capitalism!

To be honest, "What if every shitty rich person is connected and actively works to make life worse for the rest of us" feels like a given. I'm not even surprised at most of the connections being revealed.

This actually came across my newsfeed! It was kind of wild to open the story and go "Hey that's Kat!" I'm glad this issue is getting national attention.
Of course ideally, none of this would have happened in the first place but it sounds like women's pinball has an awesome and supportive community.

Dude says "Americans don't get the benefit of the doubt" in an inflammatory way. You make a crack about his supposed take on Anne Frank. Respectfully, that was equally unjustified - he doesn't seem like a bigot, just angry. At the end of it all, nothing has been gained but we're all annoyed.

I don't really like the discourse around "polarization" as though disagreement itself is the problem. We have good reason to be polarized over some topics. What's valuable is critical thought and in that respect neither bsky nor twitter cultivate much productive.

I basically did this just for the /input/ side of a retro streaming rig, and I spent like a hundred bucks in just cables. The used Extron matrix splitter itself was less expensive than the cables! And I still couldn't even turn all the consoles on at once.

I'm in the same boat. There's plenty of events I'd love to attend in the states (Anthrocon, GDQ) but I genuinely don't think I'll be safe traveling through the border as a Canadian. It sucks!

Though if you know exactlu what he nailed you with it might be possible to idenfiy its capabilities online. Guys like this love to operate on fear, it does as much damage as the malware.

If MB means motherboard then yeah it's possible to infect the boot process of a motherboard so your PC always boots up with malware attached. It's probably worth taking to a specialist? But I'm particularly risk averse.
