Anybody has tried this wine? Beautiful bottle, but I have no idea if it’s a dessert wine or not…

I’ve always loved the theming of NY casino in Las Vegas. It’s interesting and fun. All the other casinos have really lost their appeal when they went into de-theming mode, IMHO. Bring back illusion, Vegas!!

This is hilarious. Found this display at target and couldn’t believe it: a hand cream and deodorants that smell like sodas from my childhood. But hey, if you like that, you be you I guess #jarritos

Hala kahiki in Chicago. Every Christmas season we come here, and make me fall in love with Toddy and our life together. This bar is definitely our happy place!

There's this entertaining initiative at my university where a tech-inspired episode of a series/show is watched in an auditorium and then discussed. This week is my turn (again) to discuss the San Junipero episode of Black Mirror. What other shows should we include in the next season of C. en S.?

I should start with a happy note here. Todd and I are in one of the most beautiful parts of the world: northwestern Baja. The friends, the food and the awe inspiring surroundings are perfect to recharge. They’ll be needed for the challenges to come for all of us. Much love to you all.

I really like Spain, and Barcelona in particular. It just feels like home. With the mess going on in America (the continent), it seems like this could be a good refuge for the second part of our lives together. Spain has problems, but seems to be more mature in dealing with them.

That was a bumpy flight out of Istanbul…who knew there are two airports haha. Good thing we had plenty of time to spare (which had been planned to be used in an airport lounge). Anyway, now off to Rome.

I took this photo yesterday, coming down from Galata Tower…and the color of the sky was just perfect. We are staying in an apartment at the bottom of the street, close to the very lively Taksim and Beyoğlu neighborhoods; really cute area of the city. Prices are, btw, comparable to those in Mexico…

First post, morning coffee at Archeo Café in Istanbul. Last full day in this amazing city, ready to take on the Asian side (second time in that continent). I’m totally blown away by this city….already planning a return.
