For an example of Tahoe's ugliness, WHY IS THERE NO MARGIN BETWEEN THE TOOLBAR THE GROUP?!

I can tell you exactly why. In Sequoia, there's no bottom border here, so no additional margin is necessary. So the answer is laziness. It's the same layout and nobody bothered to update it.

I am not running iOS 26. Somebody forgot to tell Slack not to use liquid glass icons on older operating systems.

Every Halloween we give away something unusual along with our candy. Two years ago it was potatoes. The kids loved it because it was so weird. Last year it was playing cards. That wasn’t popular. This year we have little 3D printed flexible figures. I expect excitement.

Today we learned that if your oldest daughter forgets to put water in her easy mac, the microwave gets angry.

These translucent menus fail WCAG (web content accessibility guidelines). In the parts where dark colors bleed through, there is not enough contrast between the foreground letters and the background colors.

Side by side of the current and upcoming iOS versions. The blurriness of these icons, especially Photos and Maps, is atrocious. Of course, this is the simulator, but I've never seen that make a difference before.

They must be worried about kids cutting themselves on it.

Getting a screenshot has been impossible so far, as they don’t include the cursor. I took one with my phone, but it’s of course not great and the difference is not obvious.

I needed more Lego gears, and they’re out of stock, so I made some. Not using them in competition of course, but it allows me to iterate on designs while official ones can be sourced.

Xojo's code completion and context hints leave plenty to be desired, but I still greatly prefer it to VS Code blocking my view. I am so frequently pressing escape to get this out of my way. Plus it inserts stuff I never asked for, or guesses at a completely wrong completion because I slipped.

First concert since… uh… 2019?

Malice. There’s no other explanation for this.

These AI search results are wild. That’s **my** photo, and completely unrelated to the “overview” it gave.

This might be the best bumper sticker I've ever seen.

Woke up to some cat-induced catastrophe this morning. Managed to repair it to my satisfaction, though there are some stray pieces that I can’t find a home for.

(Also the damaged image is a still from a video that didn’t look great, so I ran it through Topaz to sharpen it a bit. So it looks funky.)

Admittedly, I don’t go to a ton of games, but I’ve never seen something like this before. See all those gloves? As the period ended, all the players on the ice started fighting. Even goalie vs goalie. It was chaos, and the refs had no way to intervene.

After the tire company fucked up my alignment - twice - I had to take it to the dealer to have them fix it. Decided to have them install my ground lighting too. This effect is so pointless, yet I love it.

Something is completely messed up with Apple’s voicemail transcription. After “Eversource” in this screenshot, none of that was said at all. It’s an automated message announcing some downtime and it’s very clear.
