So many gender/orientationally marginalized folks are barely hanging on by a thread, if at all, wrt their fam-of-origin connections & dealing with their own trauma past or present. my lot is not remotely as hopeless or traumatic as that of many of my trans/NB kindred folk and I can't handle it.

...I would like to humbly put out there how important and how much it matters when those (specifically white cis hetero folks) who are not the ones actively demographically in the cross-hairs of conservatives are the ones pushing back on their conservative relatives/acquaintance/at holidays etc.

I did shots for a couple years so I could exist in spaces w/cats for more than 30 mins without stopping breathing. I got increasingly reactive on shot day such that I ended up having to EpiPen myself after one set of shots. I stopped shortly after that, but on balance cat allergies a little better?

Yep, same. My brother threw a tantrum with a 3yr breakup with the fam a decade or so ago because of some perceived slight that mom and dad liked me better (lol - me, the queermo kid they love but don't like anything about). Again - they all win, they're in charge, & still not happy if we won't play
