Just saw the Gunn-Superman and LOVED it! I'd seen negative reviews beforehand and oooh it's clear why, it causally puts the boot in to billionaires and gives a great visualisation of troll farms, but it's also just exactly the best kind of positive Superman representation.

Finally visited the Cutty Sark! Very cool to actually wander around a real ship; you just have to accept a crick in your neck from hunching around some bits, but worth it.

Didn't quite dare do the tour up the rigging. At my current weight it would've been the end of either me or the ship.

Was on Google Maps and this was near a location marked as some kind of station in Antarctica. I may have been playing too many 90s style horror games and boomer shooters but it looks to me like I've discovered the location where they butcher giant evil clowns.

Nice start to 2025 - finally bullied my toy model into different behaviours for different parameters.

Something I've been wanting to pick up for ages - fitting potentially complex models' parameters to data. First step, tiny but happy success! The scipy minimize function does indeed find the true parameters in my toy model based on the comparison with (simulated) data.
