If I read your table correctly you interpret the league ranking bonus as €275k per club. But UEFA's wording says "the team finishing top is awarded 36 shares." So 36 x €275k. Sorry if I misread your table.

At the time I felt it was a bit like the Bayern game. A strong start by Chelsea without creating that much and Arsenal coming back into it so maybe 11 v 11 we'd have had a second half more like against Bayern.

Yes but no second yellows despite Chelsea doing their worst. Sensible subs to make sure but credit to those that played on after a yellow without risking a second - Hincapié, MLS, Mosquera.

I think Arteta needs to focus on keeping the squad fresh for the run in. You don't win the league by playing your best 11 in every match. Maybe drop a few points in the autumn because of rotation but win the last 10.

The links only work if you're logged in and have a current session so no point really. Also, nobody knows how to complete the 'essential' second step of opting for FA Cup or CL or both. Must be done by Friday. Grrr!

I'm definitely registered Pete. But as there are two cup schemes it's not possible to see which ones I'm registered for. It seems this is the same for everyone. The original email says it's a 2 step process and it's essential to complete both steps. Deadline is Friday. What a mess!

16 PTS is probably top 8. So 10 PTS needed. Last 3 are Bruges, Slavia and the Khazaks. So draws with Bayern, Inter and Atlético would get us through. But Arteta probably goes strong until we're through.

Not sure he ever played as a 6 for us but might have ended up there had injuries not halted his career. The Sunderland tackle is often cited but he came back from that and I think it was the Essien tackle that finished him. Great player though and would have won many titles with us.

But the opposition will also tire within a game and over a season. Not sure you can meaningfully mine this kind of data.

Glad you liked it. Sits on a shelf here in Bleadon, Somerset. Tony had a small engineering business and made the canons as promo. He's nearly 90 now so won't be making any more.
