Been saying we need a government run payments processor since it would be bound by code and constitutional restraints. Which payment processors aren't. They couldn't necessarily stop payments at will based on "corporate values" and even if they did, there would be redress through the courts.

A third, fourth, fifth ferret? More? Was Ivee building a ferret army?

I wonder if Ivee ever got that ferret?

Unsteady rhythm and amateurish musicianship, yet it’s completely captivating, a beautiful slice of country soul. I love it.

“Not whoo” seems like a phrase that is going to get a lot of mileage in the future.

I have Haibane Renmei. It’s a beautiful exploration of grief and self-forgiveness.

Sweet. I’m about halfway through “The Man Who Recorded the World”, a biography of Alan Lomax by John Szwed, but I haven’t picked up anything in that World Library series. Yet. I do strongly recommend the Secret Museum of Mankind series if you haven’t seen it yet.

Hopefully you’ve had an upgrade since then.

I remember buying a disc of Greek-Oriental Rebetica music and it sent me down a World Music tangent that I still haven’t fully recovered from 30 years later.

I can’t remember the name of the bar. Something like the Underground? Or…?

Nice. I lived on both Capitol Hill and Queen Anne in the 80s and 90s. I once sold $1500 worth of LPs and CDs to Cellophane Square to finance a trip to Turkey. I didn’t make it to the U District too often, but there was a literal underground bar there I’d go to whenever I was in the neighborhood.

Oh, of course. I’ve listened to every CD I’ve purchased, but a large number will never get a second listen. But some of the best discoveries were also bought on a whim or from a store employee recommendation. Was that U District store Cellophane Square?

I have about 6000 CDs I’ve bought over the last 40+ years. 75% were impulse buys from browsing record stores, especially Tower Records on lower Queen Anne in Seattle. (Sadly long gone.)

That was my exact thought when I saw them side by side.

Good news. I got my replacement print today. It’s perfect. Thanks to @Inprnt.com for their excellent customer service. And thanks to you for the wonderful art. I’ll probably be putting it in a frame sometime after the New Year.
