Get one for yourself if you can afford it. Pool money with friends get them at a discount.

I highly recommend having its components and *knowing how to use them* if you're going out as an observer or protester.
Make sure the TQ is TCCC approved if you buy individual pieces

The homies and I teach free first aid & stop the bleed classes for community members and try to ensure everybody who attends leaves with the most vital, least improvisable supplies.
We buy these kits in bulk and they're gone about as soon as they arrive:

The next tooth on this ratchet is open firing on a crowd of protesters. I don't know if it will happen, if the pawl will catch

But I do know that knowing what to do when there's blood all over the place saves lives whether that blood is from state violence or chainsaw hubris after a storm

You don't want to see your friends and neighbors bleeding out while you don't know what to do.

Learn these skills. Practice them enough that your body can take over when your brain panics.

Great, now they're going to be singing "where have all the ICE pigs gone?" in 20 years

A core childhood memory for me was when last migra came for one of the abuelitas on my block.
The entire neighborhood was in mourning, outraged that they would take this sweet lady who never hurt anybody.
I can't imagine what seeing that every day is like for the kids in Minnesota

Another friend put it to me like this: "ICE has made the classic Nazi mistake. They've invaded a winter people in the winter."

That's not uncommon for an administrative stay, but it's a coward move for a decision this important with such immediate, life-altering, irreversible consequences

Dude, we straight-up kidnapped a foreign president

Honestly, I'm just worried about them flying at night in a valley near the ocean in the Andes.
Wind and CAPE aren't too bad tonight, but helos go down in the best of circumstances, and the geography of Caracas seems hazardous especially for stall margins, high density altitude, wind shear, etc
